99.9% Stress-Free Living

Oftentimes the environments we place ourselves in, such as our homes, places of work and places of leisure, create stress, rather than reduce it. A stressful environment will cause you to be more stressed, and basically make your life more difficult. Knowing how to de-stress your environments will reduce the stress you feel, making you happier and healthier.

Home Sweet Home

Your home should be a place where you can relax and unwind after a hard day, leaving behind the pressures you face at work or school. However, for many being at home is just as stressful as being anywhere else. While there is nothing wrong with having a good work ethic, it is best to make sure you leave your work at the office.

Bringing it home with you can prevent you from being able to relax, instead causing you to fret about what needs to be done tomorrow etc. Leaving it behind is a great way to reduce stress levels in your home. A routine is another good way to do this.

When you have a set routine, you always know what to expect, and you will be far more organised. A lack of organisation in your home can make you feel on edge, as though there’s always something you’ve forgotten to do or should be doing. A routine is especially good to cut down on the chaos in families with children.

In The Workplace

Your place of work is very likely the most stressful environment you place yourself in on a regular basis. While some stress is good and improves performance, it is best to eliminate as much as possible. Organisation is just as, if not more important in the workplace as it is in the home. Poor organisation at work will cause you to miss deadlines causing tensions to run high, and make it very difficult to do your job well.

Making sure your work environment is always clean and tidy is also a good way to keep stress at a manageable level. When mess and clutter piles up, it can make you feel like everything is getting on top of you. Keeping your workspace in order will help you feel in control and prepared to take on the next task you are set.

So, do your best to keep your work and home environments as stress-free as possible, and you will be better off for it.
